David Gerstein attended the opening of Artcore gallery in Vienna, Austria last Thursday (Sep 8th 2011). The exhibition entitled 'Couple of strokes' was successful, attended by Israeli ambassador to Austria, Mr.Aviv Shir, artists, friends and art lovers.

The exhibition features Gerstein's signature large multilayered wall sculptures, as well as paper cut works, small objects and more. David Gerstein will attend the opening of at exhibition at a new gallery (Artcore) in Vienna this week. The exhibition entitled COUPLE OF STROKES (Taken from a piece by that name) will be the first exhibition that would celebrate the opening of this new gallery in the heart of Vienna.

The opening will take place on September 8th (Thursday) 2011 at Artcore gallery, 3rd floor, Praterstrasse 1, Vienna, Austria. For more information visit the gallery's own facebook event dedicated to the opening.

The exhibition will feature Gerstein's celebrated large multilayer wall sculptures and it has been announced that David Gerstein will attend the opening himself. A large turnout of people is expected to attend the opening evening.

Rumor has it that Gerstein has been locked up in his studio preparing some beautiful new sculptures for 2012.

It has been suggested that the Jazz theme may receive a small object series but that is yet to be confirmed. Gerstein's Jazz wall sculpture series is among the most popular wall sculptures of the last twenty years and the first series has completely sold out. We sure hope this series will receive its small object sculpture form soon, as we know Gerstein is a huge Jazz fan.
